Network Operations Center Technician
Overview:
** Active Top Secret (TS/SCI) clearance with polygraph required. **
Rampart Technologies Corporation has an opportunity for an Network Operations Center (NOC) Technician. You will be a member of a cadre of subject matter experts providing 24×7 network monitoring and service.
Job Location:
McLean, Virginia
Responsibilities:
- Support an organization’s local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), customer networks, Intranet and Internet and other data communications systems or a segment of a network system.
- Monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users and perform necessary maintenance to support network availability.
- Perform routine network startup and shutdown procedures, and maintain control records.
- Monitor and analyze network performance and data input/output reports to detect problems.
- Ticket and escalate network interruptions to the appropriate locations when remote repair is not feasible.
Technical Requirements:
- Must have a total of 10 years of applicable experience. The experience can be a combination of degree and work history. This can be a High School degree and 10 years of relevant work history OR an Associate’s and 8 years, a Bachelors’ and 6 years, a Masters and 4 years or a PhD and 2 years of relevant work history.
- You must have hands on troubleshooting and fault isolation of IT systems.
- You will work a rotating shift schedule.
Desired Skills:
- Network certifications Cisco CCNA, Juniper JNCIA, JNCIS, ITIL Foundations
